Gladys M. Bassett, 93, of El Paso, Texas, died Sunday, June 13, 2004, in El Paso.
Born March 22, 1911, in Omaha, Neb., she was the daughter of Elmer and Ella Vinne Hunter. On July 12, 1941, she married Merrill C. Bassett in Maryville, Mo. He died Aug. 17, 1969.
Mrs. Bassett was a homemaker. She was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of AARP and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty J. Ekes of El Paso; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two nieces; and several nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother and one sister.
The graveside service for Mrs. Bassett will be at 10:30 am Saturday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Patrick Hilgendorf officiating.
