Elizabeth Helen Meuler, 96, of Burlington died at 11:18 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Great River Medical Center Klein Center. Born March 28, 1911, in Burlington, she was the daughter of William Louis and Margaret Westerman Nelius. On Oct. 26, 1988, she married Robert F. Meuler in Burlington. He died Dec. 11, 1988. Mrs. Meuler worked in bookkeeping for Curly Printing. She was a volunteer at the former Burlington Medical Center and A.R.S.P. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Ada Dorcas Circle and Christian Service Circle. She was a member of the E.S.A. Sorority. Survivors include one stepson, Robert Meuler of Piano, Texas; five stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and one nephew. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Prugh's Chapel. The funeral for Mrs. Meuler will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Zion United Church of Christ.
