Mrs. Darlene L. Meth, 80, of West Burlington, died a 7:45 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, a Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born February 8, 1930, in Fairfield, she was the daughter of Ralph and Magdalene Kaska Kessel. On June 26, 1949, she married John Meth in Fairfield. Mrs. Meth was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, John Meth of West Burlington; two sons, Roy (Barbara) Meth of Ankeny, and Larry (Barbara) Meth of West Burlington; three granddaughters, Kelly (Josh) Rice, Melanie Chase, and Mary Beth (Jeff) Bullock; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Rice, and Aiden Chase; one sister, Maxine (William) Wigginton of West Burlington; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Nicholas of Carthage, Missouri, and Bette (Chuck) Cross of Grand Junction, Colorado; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, April 10th, in Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service. The funeral service for Mrs. Meth will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10th, in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Jane Willan officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice
