Services for Mrs. Lennie C. Basquin, 54, of 1702 Laurel, who died Thursday at Mercy Hospital, will be held at 2 pm Monday at Wallen’s chapel. Rev. John Groen will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Basquin, employee of Hall’s café, 215 Division, was stricken ill at work. She lived with a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Cavender.
Born Mar. 28, 1905, at Littleport, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Nading. She was married Sept. 18, 1919, at Galena, Ill., to Ralph A. Basquin, who died October 13, 1957.
Mrs. Basquin was a member of the Church of the Open Bible.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph, Jr., and Ray A., both of Burlington; three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Denning, Ft. Madison; Mrs. Alta Mae Kendall, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mrs. Cavender; 30 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vern Nading, Sheridan, Wyo., and Earl, Strawberry Point, and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Kellogg, also of Strawberry Point.
Besides her husband, two sons died previously.
