Loretta I. Meiertholen, 97, of Burlington died Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Great River Klein Center, West Burlington.
Born on May 8, 1920 in Nauvoo, Illinois she was the daughter of Garrett and Sophia (Kachle) Meiertholen. She worked in production for IRC/TRW retiring in 1982.
She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Nauvoo, Eagles Aerie #150 and a former member of the New London Country Club. In her younger years she played basketball and was one of the original members of the first Girls Softball League in Burlington. She loved time spent with her dog "Kelsie"
She is survived by her close friends and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; her beloved twin sister Lorena and three brothers.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Great River Hospice or the Special Needs Foundation.
