Mrs. Mabel F. Barrett, 86, of 825 Hedge, died Wednesday, April 15, at Elm View Care Center.
She was born Oct. 8, 1894, at Thornton to Charles and Edna Butler Burrell. She married the late Charles A. Barrett at Hampton.
Mrs. Barrett, a retired seamstress, had worked at the Eklund and Brinck department stores. She was a member of First Christian Church and the OES.
Surviving; daughter Ruth Scheideman, Burlington; sister Iva Young. Chicago; one grandson; and two great-grandsons.
Funeral: 10:30 am Saturday, Sheagren Funeral Home, the Rev. David J. Seitz; Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for First Christian Church.
