Mrs. Gertrude Bain, 83, Mt. Pleasant, died at 7 pm Thursday, Nov 13, in Park Manor Nursing Home.
Born July 20, 1891, in Henery county, she was the daughter of Louis and Laura Haifley Norton. She married W.H. Bain Jan. 5, 1911, in Wayland; he died in October 1965. She was a member of Church of God, West Burlington.
Surviving; Four sons, Roscoe, Wayland, Chester and Willis, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Paul, Cyprus, Calif.; six daughters, Mrs. Pearl Bain, Burlington, Mrs. Wilma Ford, Mt Pleasant, Margaret Humphrey, West Burlington, Ruth Reyes, Ft. Madison, Helen Abbott, Des Moines, Wilda Simmonds, Marengo, Ill.; 23 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral; 2 pm Sunday, Lunning Chapel, Rev. Delmar Fenwick; Aspen Grove cemetery
