Fred T. Barns of Burnside RFD died Saturday at 10:30 pm in Memorial hospital where he had been a patient for a day.
Born in Des Moines County, Iowa July 25, 1895, he was the son of Frank and Martha Woodward Barns. He had farmed near Burnside for 26 years.
On June 8, 1921, in Burlington, he married Ida Paule who survives. He was a member of the Burnside Methodist church.
Surviving in addition to his wife and two sons, Warren P. of Burnsideand Eugene of Des Moines, Iowa, a twin brother Newton of Burlington, two sisters, Mrs. CL Graham of Rochester, NY and Mrs. John Yarbrough of Jacksonville, Fla., and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the Burnside Methodist church with the Rev. John N. Keller officiating. Burial will be in the Aspen Grove Cemetery at Burlington at 3:30 pm.
