Kai Maurice Barnhill-Philius, 16 days, died Monday, January 28, 2008, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born January 12, 2008, in West Burlington, he was the son of Kelly Philius and Cherylnn Barnhill. Survivors include his father of Miami, Fla.; his mother of Burlington; two sisters, Unique Jefferson and Tiara Jefferson, both at home; one maternal grandmother, Hilliary Barnhill of Austell, Ga.; one maternal grandfather, George Warner of Milwaukee, Wis.; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and one brother. No formal visitation is planned. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington. The graveside committal for Kai Maurice Barnhill-Philius will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Lawrence Manson officiating.
