Louise H. Jones, 90, of Burlington, died at 9:54 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2008, at Blair House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Burlington. Born January 13, 1918, in Centerville, she was the daughter of William and Claudine P. Tracey John. On March 15, 1947, she married Jack Richard Jones in Galesburg, Ill. He died December 19, 1999. Mrs. Jones was an office manager for BUS Service for the City of Burlington for 30 years, retiring May 16, 1984. She attended New Hope Community Evangelical Free and West Avenue Baptist Church. She was a member of the Golden Oldies. She enjoyed time with family and friends. Survivors include one son, Steven D. Jones of Plainfield, Ind.; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Claude John and Donald John, both of Galesburg, Ill., and Floyd "Tode" John of Burlington; nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers. No visitation is planned. The body has been cremated. The memorial service for Mrs. Jones will be at a later date. Private burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established. Hass-Thielen Funeral Home in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.
