Leticia Ray McCampbell, 40, of Burlington, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, in Burlington. Born July 5, 1966, in Scranton, Pa., she was the daughter of LeRoy J. and Betty Grant McCampbell. She was a hairdresser. She was known as "Tish" by her friends and was an active member of New Fellowship Christian Church, where she served on the Board of Trustees, the Youth Group and Usher Board. She enjoyed working with hair and gave guidance to all of her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her mother of Burlington; two sisters, Mary Jo Evelyn McCampbell and Melinda Dionne McCampbell, both of Burlington; four brothers, Michael LeRoy McCampbell, Shane Arthur McCampbell and Tracy Jerome McCampbell, all of Burlington, and James Avery Pleasant of El Paso, Texas; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. There will be no formal visitation. The celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, with the Reverands. Shane McCampbell and James A. Pleasant officiating. Private burial will be a later date. A memorial has been established.
