James "Jim" Wayne Schnedler, 65, of Burlington, died Saturday, July 22, 2006, in Great River Medical Center. Born September 24, 1940 in Ottumwa, he was the son of Carrol R. and Henrietta Poisel Schnedler. He married Linda Kay Charbonneau on May 4, 1962 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was an Excavating Contractor for 45 years and was Owner and Operator of Schnedler Excavating. James attended West Burlington schools, and was an electrician and a nine year Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his children, James Schnedler Jr., and Jason Schnedler both of Burlington; a Grandson Edward Schnedler; two brothers, Dennis Schnedler and Monty Schnedler both of Burlington; and a Sister Judy Funk of Pueblo, CO. His parents and a son John preceded him in death. A memorial has been established.
