Ethel "Louise" Martin, 93, of West Burlington, died 11:18 p.m. February 7, 2014 at Blair House.
Born January 20, 1921 in Grigsville, Illinois, she was the daughter of Charles J. and Minnie M. (Hobson) Walker. She married Oral E. Martin on September 14, 1939 in Monticello, Missouri. He died May 3, 2006.
Mrs. Martin worked in production at IRC/TRW for ten years, retiring in 1968.
She enjoyed needlework and was an avid reader.
Survivors include two sons; James Oral (Linda) Martin of Burlington and Charles Harvey (Joanna) Martin of Gallatin, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters; Marie Wiley of Springfield, Illinois and Ester Mull of Mt. Sterling, Illinois; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one brother.
The memorial funeral service for Mrs. Martin will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery. According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel.
