Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Prugh's chapel for Carl Edwin (Ed) Anderson, 76(sb67) former owner of the Union Supply Co., who died Wednesday in lee Mrmorial hospital, Ft. myers Fla., where he had been in failin health for six months. Rev. John Kindschuh will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The Union supply and Union Appliance Co. will be closed all day Tuesday.
Union Supply Co., starting the business in 1926. The company was the pioneer Goodrich dealership here, later expanding into the radio, appliance, television and electronic supply business both wholesale and retail.
Anderson was born Nov. 5, 1893, In Burlington, the son of Charles and Clara Hill Anderson, and was married Aug. 29, 1925 in Burlington to Esther M. Gustafson. He was a veteran of WWI and served overseas with the Army.
Anderson sold his interest in the Union Supply Co. in 1954 and moved to Ft. Myers where he had lived in retirement.
He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran church and the Messiah Men's group, a member of the chamber of commerce, the Carthage Lake club, the UCT and TPA and the Legion and VFW.
Surviving ar his wife and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
