Obituary

Robert A Barber, 63, of 336 Hayes, died Tuesday at Burlington hospital after a long illness.
He was a retired foreman at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant. Born Nov. 20, 1905, at Brakesville, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Barber. He married Ida M. Greene on Dec. 5, 1933, at Bloomfield. Mr. Barber was a member of First Christian church; Des Moines Lodge No. 1, AF & AM; Xerubabel Council No. 22; St. Omar Commandery No. 15 Knights Templar, Kaaba Temple, Davenport; Iowa Chapter No. 1 R.A.M., and Southeastern Iowa Shrine Club.
Surviving; The wife; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Murdy, Moulton; a son, William A Barber, stationed with the Navy at Great Lakes, Ill.; four grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Bernice Thomas, St. George, S.C.
Services; 2:30 pm Friday, Sheagren Funeral Home, Rev. Robert Ownes; Aspen Grove Cemetery. Masonic services will be at 7:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
