JoElla Mae Mack, 92, of Spencer, Iowa, former Burlington resident, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa. She was born May 13, 1916, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Mark and JoElla Young Hoffman. She married Joseph Floyd Mack December 4, 1937, in Burlington, Iowa. He died October 10, 1971. She was survived by one son, James Mack, of Newton, Iowa; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Winton Kooistra of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and her husband. Graveside committal services will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Marshall Jackman will officiate. No formal visitation is planned. Friends may call on Monday, June 9, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
