Marguerite "Margie" C. Lynn, 87, of Burlington, died at 4:44 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born Nov. 22, 1913, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Adolph and Mamie Huppenbauer. On Oct. 10, 1936, she married Carleton "Cy" Young. He died March 12, 1961. On June 12, 1965, she married Lad Lynn. He died Nov. 29, 1990. Mrs. Lynn worked as a teacher's aide at Grimes School for 14 years. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, and served as a Girl Scout leader for eight years at Corse School. She moved to Autumn Heights in 1997. She enjoyed people and never missed social events at Autumn Heights. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy A. (Jerry) Haines of Minneapolis, Minn., Pat J. (Rich) Rathjens of Cedar Rapids, and Cathy (David) Schnicker of Burlington; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Walter Huppenbauer of Seal Beach, Calif., and Paul Huppenbauer of Corpus Christi, Texas. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bob, and her twin, Harold; and one sister, Jerry Swan. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Lynn will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Carl Engstrom officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Autumn Heights and Bethany Lutheran Church.
