Martin Otto Luedtke, 85, of New London, died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.
Born April 5, 1914, in Lockridge, he was the son of Theodore Eugene and Augusta Minnie Schroeder Luedtke. He married Ruth Donahue in 1954. They divorced in 1967. He married Nancy Stanford in 1971. She died in 1972. In 1974, he married Lillian Keracher. She died in 1994.
Mr. Luedtke was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving from 1944 to 1945. He worked for Case Co. for 16 years, retiring in 1979. He also was a lifelong farmer.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mount Pleasant, Moose Lodge 579 in Burlington and Mount Pleasant American Legion Lodge.
Survivors include three sons, Delbert Luedtke of Green Valley, Ill., Donald Luedtke of Bluegrass and Anthony Luedtke of Cleveland, Tenn.; one daughter, Jean Semenko of Greensburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Elsie O. Luedtke of Fairfield.
Besides his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents, one son and three sisters.
Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
