Elizabeth Ann Lorber, 89, of Burlington, Iowa, died at Great River Klein Center on Friday, July 26, 2013.
Born on August 12, 1923 in Ft. Madison, Iowa, she was the daughter of Merwin and Mabel Jones Van Ausdall. She married Robert Henry Lorber on August 28, 1942 in Burlington, Iowa. He died on May 5, 2000.
Elizabeth was a secretary in manufacturing. She enjoyed sewing, reading and time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Marta (Steve) Frye of Peabody, Kansas and Lolly (Robert) Beltz of Hamilton, New Jersey; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Mary McVey; one son, Joseph Lorber III; one brother; and one sister.
Cremation has been entrusted to Prugh Funeral Service, no formal services are planned. Private interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
