Obituary
Harlan G. Ball, 74, of 2050 Osborn, died at 1:25 am Friday, Oct. 31, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born July 8, 1912, in Henry County, he was the son of George and Anna Frandson Ball. He married Ethel L. Haifley Aug. 6, 1934, in Burlington.
Mr. Ball was a farmer and then later worked for Benner Tea Company, retiring in 1975. He was a Protestant.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Beverly (Terry) Kesterke, West Burlington, and Mrs. Janice (James) Peterson, Gladstone, Ill.; one son, Clarence D. Ball, Burlington; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 pm Sunday at Prugh’s Chapel.
Services for Mr. Ball will be 1:30 pm Monday at Prugh’s Chapel with the Rev. Robert Schacht officiating. Burial will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
