Clarence “CB” Dean Ball, 66, of West Burlington, died at 7:28 pm Sunday, May 2, 2004, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born Sept 22, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, he was the son of Harlan George and Ethel Lavina Haifley Ball. On Feb. 14, 1975, he married Lynda Lee Hollenbeck in Burlington.
Mr. Ball was a bakery manager for Vista Baker for more than 42 years.
He was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 579 of Burlington. He loved to cam, mushroom hunt, NASCAR races and listen to country-western music.
Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Julie Falwell of West Burlington, Deanna Frank of Burlington, and Cathie Moore of Marion; two sons, Gary Ball of West Burlington and Alan T. Green of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beverly Kesterke of Burlington and Janice Peterson of Gladstone, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 8 am to 8:30 pm Thursday at Lunning Chapel, where family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
The funeral for Mr. Ball will be at 10:30 am Friday at Lunning Chapel, with Pastor Dean Moberg officiating. Burial will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
