Ralph C. Balbort, 68, of 1104 S. Eighth, died Thursday, June 12, at Burlington Care Center after a long illness.
He was born in Burlington Sept. 4, 1911, to William and Minnie Giese Balbort. He married Kathryn Walsh in Keokuk Feb. 15, 1946.
Balbort was a retired truck driver for Don Pease Co. He was a World War II veteran, a member of the Eagles Lodge, American Legion, and VFW, and Bethany Lutheran Church.
Surviving: his wife; a son, Timothy R.; a brother, Roy E.; and a sister, Agnes Matzka, all of Burlington
Funeral; 1:30 pm Monday at Prugh’s Chapel, the Rev. Alvin Jenkins; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
