Velda Marie “Jackie” Barker, 68, formerly of No. 7 Western Pines Mobile Home Park, West Burlington, died at 10:25 am Thursday, May 2, 1996, at the North Adams Care Center in Mendon, Ill.
Born Nov. 14, 1927, at Clear Lake, she was the daughter of William E. and Bernice Huntley.
She was a production worker at GE and a member of AARP and Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter Candy Leeper of Urs, Ill.; two grandchildren; one sister Verlyn Snelling of Bates City, Mo.; one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Sunday at Prugh's Chapel.
The graveside committal service for Ms. Barker will be 10 am Monday at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Rev. Charles Robertson officiating.
