Lillian R. Leibli, 85, of Burlington, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at her home. Born November 24, 1923, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Harry and Rosa Fern Moyer Powell. On December 13, 1942, she married Albert Leibli in Kahoka, MO. He died March 17, 1983. Mrs. Leibli was a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casino, garage sales, and browsing the store. Survivors include 13 children, Richard Leibli of Holland, Tenn., Bonnie Gaylord of Camden, Tenn., and Donna Weisner, Charles Leibli, Pat Pitts, David Leibli, Shirley Johnson, Sharon Young, Albert Leibli, Larry Leibli, Kathy Moreno, Billy Leibli and Jimmy Leibli, all of Burlington; 96 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Pat Koval and Nancy Blain, both of Burlington, Linda Jenkins of West Point, Virginia Thompson of Brookings, Ore., and Margie Williams of Sevierville, Tenn.; and two brothers, Chet Powell of Hampton, IL, and Jimmy Powell of Bluegrass. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at Lunning Chapel, with family receiving friends from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Leibli will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Dutzer officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
