Kyle S. Barker, 32, of Burlington, died at 9:42 am, Sunday, Sept. 29, 1996, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
Born Jan. 1, 1964, in Nevada, Iowa, he was the son of Bruce B and Marcia Rust Barker.
Mr. Barker was a 1982 graduate of Burlington High School and attended Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo.
He was a member of First Christian Church of Burlington.
Survivors include his parents; and one sister, Kelli Bonar of Burlington; one brother, Kevin Barker of Burlington; one niece and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother.
Visitation will begin after noon today in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm.
The funeral for Mr. Barker will be at 2 pm Wednesday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Olson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
