Funeral services for Mr. Vernon H. Baker, 78, of Burlington, Iowa, who died Wednesday, January 15, 1997, at Burlington Medical Center will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 1997, at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. There will be a Masonic Service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for St. John’s A.M.E. Church.
