Mrs. Della Laue, 90, of Burlington died of natural causes at 10:45 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017, at Fort Madison Community Hospital.
Born December 6, 1926 in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of William Jackson and Rachel Elizabeth (Keller) Lincoln. On December 30, 1950 she married Francis Allen Laue at Bethany Lutheran Church in Burlington. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1984.
Mrs. Laue moved with her family to Burlington at the age of five. She was a graduate of Burlington High School and worked at Kirlin's for over 10 years. She enjoyed her pets, fishing and reading. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Survivors include three sons, Steven Dale Laue of Pleasant Grove, Paul Laue of Springdale, Arkansas and Michael Laue of West Point; one daughter, Cathy Dixon of Burlington; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Harold Lincoln, sister Edna Koger, and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 29th, at Lunning Chapel.
Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to PAW Animal Shelter in Fort Madison.
Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel and will be accorded following the visitation.
