Florence L. Latta, 86 of Burlington, died at 2:43 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at Great River Medical Center – Klein Center. Born March 3, 1920 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Herbert and Edna Amelia Larson Jones. On June 21, 1941 she married Paul E. Latta in Burlington. He died May 24, 1995. Mrs. Latta was a 1938 graduate of Burlington High School, a homemaker and worked at Midwest Biscuit Company and Park Manor Nursing Home. She also babysat in her home for several years. She was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include one son, Richard Latta of Burlington; three daughters, Karen Latta of Burlington, Linda Lant of Clinton, and LuAnn Cline of Burlington; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Her husband, parents, one brother, and one great grandson preceded her in death. A memorial has been established.
