Anna L. Landstrom, 85, of La Grange, Ill., died Monday, October 4, 2010, at ManorCare, Hinsdale, Ill. Born February 26, 1925, in Joetown, she was the daughter of Omer Louis and Clara Etta Mabe Allison. On August 1, 1959, she married Donald Landstrom. Mrs. Landstrom graduated from Iowa State College in Ames, with a major in dietetics in 1946, and retired in 1960. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in La Grange. She enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, reading, hiking, and traveling. Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Elaine Dahl of Las Vegas, and Frances Davis of Iowa; one brother, Melvin Allison of Cedar Rapids; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington. The graveside funeral for Mrs. Landstrom will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, with the Rev. Jane Willan officiating. A memorial has been established for First United Methodist Church in La Grange. Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Countryside, Ill., is assisting Prugh Funeral Service and family with arrangements.
