Lorraine H. Baker, 79, of Route 2 died at 2:10 pm Friday, April 17, 1992, at his home.
Born April 12, 1913, in Edina, Mo., he was the son of Charles and Mary Elmira Keisow Baker. He married Naomi Luke on Jane 29, 1935, in Kirksville, Mo. She died June 23, 1991.
He was a carpenter and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Hirte of Wever, Janet Levins of West Burlington, and Janice Baker of Lomax, Ill.; five sons, Harold Baker of Fort Madison, Robert Baker of Berwyn, Ill., Richard Baker of Augusta, Larry Baker of Montrose, and Lyman Baker of West Burlington; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters Ella Mae Boltz of Burlington, and Grancille Kilbride of Oakville; and two brothers, Lloyd Baker of Oskaloosa, and Ralph Baker of Burlington.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son and a granddaughter.
Rosary will be recited at 7 pm Monday at Prugh’s Chapel with Rev. Robert McAleer officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
