Hilda Mae Baker, 67, of Burlington, died at 4:32 pm Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at Great River Medical Center’s Klein Center.
Born June 8, 1937, in Moulton, she was the daughter of Homer and Grace Fincher. On December 5, 1957, she married Maurice “Jack” Baker in Moulton. They later divorced.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker.
She enjoyed watching soap operas, crocheting, needlepoint, and cross-stitching.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah M. Krieger and Juanita J. Baker, both of Burlington; five sons, Morris J. Baker, Michael W. Baker, Douglas L. Baker, and Gary D. Baker, all of Burlington, and Kenneth R. Baker of Fort Madison; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three brothers, James Fincher, Robert Fincher and Rodney Fincher, all of Moulton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one nephew.
Visitation will be from 9 am to 3 pm Saturday at Hass Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 10 am to noon. Following visitation, her body will be cremated. Burial will be at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
