Clarence Dean Baker, 67, of Burlington, died at 9:28 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born April 26, 1949, in Burlington, he was the son of Kenneth M. Baker and Ellen V. Feehan Meyers. On January 11, 1982, he married Linda Knopp in Las Vegas, NV. She died November 18, 1999. On October 20, 2007, he married Judith Payne Bessine in Burlington.
He worked for 30 years at J.I. Case, and after he retired worked in distribution at Pepsi for five years.
He graduated high school in Springdale, Arkansas
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Burlington Eagles Club. He enjoyed watching old westerns, mushroom hunting, gardening, fishing, grilling, listening to 50's, 60's and Buddy Holly music. He loved to entertain his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Judith; one son, Robby Baker of Burlington, two step-daughters, Monique (Brian) Bohlen of Burlington, Michelle (Jeff) Pence of Burlington; one brother, Darrius (Colleen ) Baker of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Debra Baker of Tuscon, AZ, Kathy (Doug) Fischer of Burlington; two aunts, one niece, one nephew, and five great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.
The Private Graveside Committal Service for Mr. Baker will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
