George Blakemore Kollar, 76, of Burlington, died at 6 a.m. Monday, June 1, 1999, in Burlington. Born July 2, 1922, in Streater, Ill., he was the son of Edward and Myrtle Blakemore Kollar. He married Evelyn June Carlson on Nov. 27, 1946, in Rochester, N.Y. She died March 4, 1996. Mr. Kollar was an Army veteran of World War II. He moved to Burlington from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, in 1974. He served as general manager for Antennacraft Co. from May 13, 1974, until his retirement at the end of 1992. He was a member of the First Congregational Church. Survivors include one son, Paul Kollar of Burlington; one daughter, Kristine Carmichael of Burlington; two grandchildren; one step-grandson; one sister, Mary Louise Hannah of Naperville, Ill., nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Prugh's Chapel. The funeral for Mr. Kollar will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Roy Backus officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetry. A memorial has been established for the National Arbor Day Foundation.
