Mrs. Myrna O. Bailey, 78, of 114 S. Leebrick, died unexpectedly at 4:40 pm April 18, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born Sept. 19, 1901, in Blandinsville, Ill., she was the daughter of Francis t. and Clara Sherman Darrah. She married Asa Bailey April 10, 1919, in Denver, Colo.; he died July 23, 1970.
She was retired, having worked at the Hotel Burlington, the Elks Club and the Phillips 66 Truckstop in West Burlington. She was a Protestant and a member of the Elks Auxiliary.
Surviving; Three sons, Carl R., Burlington, Garold, Missouri City, Tex., Billy G., Huntington Beach, Calif,; one brother, Erret B. Darrah, Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. Gweneth E. Asby and Mrs. Maxine B. Boote, both Burlington, Mrs. Madolin R. Steingreaber, Marin, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral; Prugh's chapel, Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 pm Rev. Mr. Robert Buhr will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Prugh's Monday evening from 7:30 until 9:00 pm. A cancer Fund Memorial has been established for Mrs. Bailey.
