Mr. Herbert Alfred Badger, 73, 249 S. 10th, died Thursday at 9:22 am while mowing the yard of Temple Israel.
He was born June 30, 1891, at Clarendon England. Aug 4, 1917, He married Nellie Cooper at Birmingham, England. He was custodian at Grimes school for 32 years. He retired six years ago. He served in the British Air Force in WW1. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Gwendoline Yaley of Media, Ill.; two grandchildren; several sisters and brothers in England. His parents, a sister, and three brothers are dead.
The body is at Prugh's Chapel. The funeral will be at 5:00 pm on Saturday. The Rev. Richard Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Prugh's Friday evening.
