Eleanor Jeanne Kindig passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 in the Danville Care Center, Danville, Iowa.
Born July 21, 1923 in Fort Madison, Iowa she was the daughter of Arthur Franklin and Nina Parson Davis. On May 23, 1944 she married Robert Leroy Kindig in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death August 24, 1984.
She was a graduate of Burlington High School class of 1941.
Jeanne was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Burlington. She was a homemaker and worked for Sylvania in Burlington for fifteen years. She enjoyed yard work, gardening and watching TV.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Lee Kindig of Burlington and a sister Carol J. Davis also of Burlington. Three grandchildren; Scott (Lori) Kindig, Stephanie (Jay) Warren, and Kristin (Adam) Fritz. Six greatgrandchildren; Ryan and Aryn Kindig, Taylor and Karlie Warren, and Mason and Parker Fritz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one sister, Velva Alexander.
Funeral Services will be held in Prugh’s Chapel, Friday, February 6, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor David Yonker will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
A memorial has been established for First Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ) Youth Programs.
