John Ronald Kennedy, 76, of Burlington, died at 3:50 AM Friday, March 16, 2012, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born January 3, 1936, in Dubuque, IA, he was the son of Joseph and Marie Frances Krueger Kennedy. John worked as an independent contractor cleaning out houses for several area companies. He was involved with Downtown Partners, the Capitol Theatre project and the Farmer's Market. He enjoyed going to the Hungry Bear Restaurant. He was and avid volunteer in Burlington and West Burlington. He enjoyed watching fireworks and parades. There are no known survivors. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from noon until 1:45 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home.
