Faye Priscilla Kapplan, 85, formerly of Burlington, died at 6:36 PM Thursday, November 17, 2016, at the Windmill Manor in Coralville.
Born October 2, 1931, in East Brady, PA, she was the daughter of Chester Arthur and Mildred Priscilla Smink. On August 21, 1955, she married Harold Kapplan in Philadelphia, PA. He died March 5, 2002.
Faye was a homemaker. She had previously worked for J.S. Schram's in the housewares department.
Faye was a social butterfly. She enjoyed gardening her flowers, cooking, baking, and volunteering at the Burlington Medical Center, Great River Medical Center, and the Klein Center.
Survivors include one son, Barry (Nancy) Kapplan of Union, CT; one daughter, Sharon (Kevin) Ginty of Coralville; seven grandchildren, Jacob (Oksana) Kapplan, David Kapplan, Ariel (Richard) MacPherson, Taryn (Marc) Smith, Brendan Ginty, Natalie Ginty, and Michael Ginty.
Besides her husband, Harold, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Arlene and Cleo.
A private family graveside service was held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
