Dorothy “Toddy” Johnson, 97, of Burlington, Iowa died at 7:55 p.m., Friday, April 13, 2007, at Burlington Care Center. Born December 20, 1909 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Henry W. and Nellie (Hosler) Timmerman. On July 4, 1928 she married Orval “Bud” E. Johnson in Burlington. He died March 2, 1986. Mrs. Johnson worked in food service with the Burlington Community School District for many years. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, where she was involved in the Ladies Circle. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie L. Paris and her husband Lee of Sparta, Missouri, and Shirley Inghram of Burlington; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and ten great-great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, seven sisters, one brother, and one great-grandson Stevie preceded her in death. A memorial has been established for the First United Church of Christ.
