Mrs. Rosemary Lee Johnson, 73, of Sperry died at 8:02 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Great River Medical Center.
Born September 6, 1940 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Herman and Kathryn Murphy Weicher. On January 9, 1961 she married Larry Johnson in West Burlington.
Mrs. Johnson attended Burlington High School. She worked at Antenna Craft and Lamont Ltd., retiring in 1996.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of SS Mary and Patrick Catholic Church. She was a big sports fan, enjoying the Miami Dolphins, St. Louis Cardinals, LA Lakers and the Hawkeyes. She enjoyed crocheting, making afghans, cooking and ceramics. She loved time spent with her family and was always concerned for everyone and their welfare.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Johnson of Sperry; one daughter, Lorie (Antonio) Styles of Atlanta, Georgia; three sons, Brian Johnson of Mesa, Arizona and Darren Johnson and Scott (Diana) Johnson both of Sperry; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, John (Karen) Weicher of Wever; one sister, Patricia Gerhardt of Burlington and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Margaret "Peggy" Mynatt.
The graveside funeral service and interment for Mrs. Johnson will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 23rd, in Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Father David Steinle officiating.
