Obituary

Ronald Dean Avery, 57, of Burlington, died 8:40 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 in his home.
Born March 21, 1953 he was the son of Donald Eugene and Marilyn Jean (Barnes) Avery. He married Cynthia Hester on December 29, 1975 in Danville. They later divorced.
Ron was a tractor E-Coat and assembler for J.I. Case-CNH for over 29 years. He retired in 2004. He was a member of Local #807 UAW.
He enjoyed watching sports and monster movies and collecting memorabilia. He loved all animals, especially "Piddles" his dog. He enjoyed attending auctions. He was a great friend to all and loved his family and his grandchildren, they were his life.
Survivors include; his mother Marilyn Scott of Burlington; three children, Carrie Avery(Joe Jarvis), Jason Avery (Ashley Fancher) and Jamie (Darin) Dayton all of Burlington; five grandchildren; Taylor Avery, Avery Dayton, Lexton Dayton, Ashton Gillis and Dakota Jarvis; one sister, Ann Remick (Kelly Fuhrer) of Burlington; his twin brother, Donald (Linda) Avery of Burlington; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother-in-law and one nephew.
The graveside funeral services and inurnment for Mr. Avery will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15th in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Michael Orthel will officiate. The family wishes to invite all friends to a luncheon to be served following the graveside services at Grace United Methodist Church.
A memorial has been established for his grandchildren's education.
According to his wishes, the body has been cremated.
