Pearl Avery, 69, of 706 South 10th St., died 4:31 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, 1987, at Burlington Medical Center. Born Dec. 6, 1917, in Griggsville, Ill., she was the daughter of David and Daisy Dark Plummer. She married Willie Avery. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Eagles auxiliary and the Burlington Gym auxiliary. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Viola Bloomer, Burlington, and Mrs. Dorothy Rohn, Peoria, Ill. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel. The service for Mrs. Avery will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel with Rev. Jerry Dunham officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for The Church of the Open Bible.
