David Austin WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa #45;- David William Austin, 39, West Burlington, died Friday, April 16, 2004, near Gulfport, Ill. Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 23, at Lunning Chapel, Burlington. The Rev. Terry Terrell will officiate. Burial will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. Visitation is 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at the funeral home. Family will not be present. A memorial has been established. Mr. Austin was born Oct. 4, 1965, in Burlington, the son of Gary and Linda Nelson Austin. He married Rebecca Ann Dickson Feb. 19, 1999. He graduated from Mesquite High School, Mesquite, Texas. He was a lift operator for Vista Bakery for three years. Previously he had worked for Wal-Mart Warehouse, Raider's Precast Concrete and Bluebird. He was a member of First United Methodist and First Assembly of God churches. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, CB-ing and bike riding. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sonia York of Burlington and Tonia Simpson of Tennessee; a son, Scott Simpson of Burlington; two grandchildren; his parents of Mesquite; a sister, Shelly Garcia of Irving, Texas; a brother, Bradley Austin of Irving; an uncle, Jerry Nelson of Burlington; and an aunt, Pat Austin of Mesquite. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, two uncles and an aunt.
