Norma Ilene Jennings, 82, of West Burlington, died at 2:05 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Society in Keosauqua. Born August 6, 1928, in Downing, MO, she was the daughter of Willie A. and Josephine McCurdy Anders. On November 30, 1969, she married Joseph Jennings in Burlington. He died January 14, 1983. Mrs. Jennings worked as a dental assistant for many years, and worked as a clerk for Trailways Bus Depot. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Burlington, where she did quilting and served on many committees. Survivors include one brother, Wayne Anders of Burlington; one sister, Marilyn Bonner of West Burlington; nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister. No visitation is planned. The funeral for Mrs. Jennings will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. Mike Orthel officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established for Alzheimer's Association.
