Mrs. Mabel C. Augustine, 89, of 1085 S. Garfield, died in Burlington Medical Center at 1:07 a.m. Monday, April 29. She was born July 28, 1895, in Nebraska, to Dick and Wilhelmina Wolbrandt Peters. She married Sam Eugene Augustine in Burlington Feb. 9, 1916; he died Oct. 1, 1968. The couple operated a general store at Wever for more than 30 years and also farmed. Mrs. Augustine was a member of the United Methodist Church. Surviving: A son. Paul, Burlington; a sister, Beulah Augustine, Hurst, Texas: four grand-children; and seven great-grand-children. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Prugh's Chapel; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
