Obituary

Reva P. Jarosh, 90, of Burlington, died at 10:12 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at the Kahl Home in Davenport.

Born March 21, 1927, on the family farm in Cerro Gordo County, IA, she was the daughter of Orville Ralph and Odna Marie Calkins Drury. On August 28, 1947, she married Donald Leo Jarosh in Mason City. He died June 29, 1997.

Reva worked at Damons Department Store in Mason City, IA, Wallace's Department Store in Fairmont, MN and for J.C. Penney and Sickels in Burlington. For 21 years she worked at Mississippi Valley Savings and Loan, and retired as V.P./Branch Manager in 1987.

She was a 1944 graduate of Rockford High School, Rockford, IA.

She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish-SS. Mary and Patrick Catholic Church, West Burlington. She was also a member of Burlington Women's Club, SS. Mary and Patrick's Altar and Rosary Society and several local bridge clubs. She loved to read, was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, Chicago Cubs fan, playing bridge and especially spending time with her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda (Stephen) Cox of Bettendorf, Jacquelyn (Mike) John of West Burlington, and Jeanine (Barry) Andersen of Roscoe, IL; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Don, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Virgil Drury and sisters Verona Conzett and Flora Berk.

Visitation will be from noon until 6:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Jarosh will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Divine Mercy Parish-SS. Mary and Patrick Catholic Church, West Burlington with Very Rev. Father Marty Goetz as the Celebrant. Music will be provided by the Des Moines County Resurrection Choir. A time of food and fellowship will be held at St. Mary’s Parish Center following the service. Inurnment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at 3:00 PM.

Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory following the service.

A memorial has been established for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
