Mrs. Jerry Waldorf, 19, the former Shirley May Janssen, Burlington, died suddenly at her home at Fayetteville, N.C. Sunday. She was born in Burlington, June 21, 1929, the daughter of Ralph and Mable Sheckler Janessen. July 25, 1943 she married Jerry Waldorf in Burlington, she was a member of First Evangelical and Reformed church and had been active in the Rainbow Girls, the Girl Reserves and was a senior Girl Scout. Surviving are her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Janssen, Burlington; 2 sisters, Jeanette and Delores, Burlington and a number of aunts and uncles. The body will be brought to Burlington Tuesday. Services will be held in First Evangelical & Reformed church, Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. R.G. Beck will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The body will be taken from Prugh's chapel to the church, Thursday morning and will lie in state until time for the service.
