Clara O.E. Augustin, 87, of the Burlington Care Center, formerly of 523 S. 10th St., died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 1992, at the Burlington Medical Center.Born Feb. 2, 1905, in Osakis, Minn., she was the daughter of Christopher and Anna Erdman Guckenburg. She married Gustav A. Augustin Feb 26, 1941, in Hannibal, Mo. he died Sept. 30, 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Howell of Burlington, and Sharon Berry of Bismark, N.D.; her twin brother, August Guckenburg of Missouri; one sister, Thelma Peterson of Torrington, Wyo.; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sons, and a great-grandchild. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Thursday, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lunning Chapel. The graveside committal service for Mrs. Augustin will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Hugo Kaeding officiating.
