Obituary

Lori Lynn Kienast, 51, of Burlington, died at 11:22 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Born April 9, 1960, in Dennison, she was the daughter of Harvey Kienast and Zelda "Sam" Ehlers. On Oct. 29, 1977, she married David Paul Mathias. They divorced. Ms. Kienast attended Burlington Community Schools and Des Moines Area Community College. She worked as a telemarketer. She was of the Lutheran faith. She was a member of AA in Burlington and Des Moines. She enjoyed horses, camping, and time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter, Andrea Lane of Burlington; one son, David Mathias of Burlington; four grandchildren; her mother and stepfather, Zelda "Sam" and Jim Inman of Burlington; five sisters, Vickie Lee and Linda Virgin, both of Burlington, Jami Bell of Orlando, Fla., Alicia Hupt of Peoria, Ill., and Elaine Roundtree of Milan, Ill.; four brothers, Ronald Kienast and John Kienast, both of Burlington, Darrell Inman of Viola, Ill., and Raymond Inman of Seward, Ill.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, one brother, and her grandparents. Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, where family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. The funeral for Ms. Kienast will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Christopher Roepke officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been esablished.
