Mr. Paul L.Hyter, 61, of 2615 Kirkwood, died Friday, June 4 at Veterans Hospital, Iowa City. He was born March 12, 1921, at Burlington, to Harry W. and Ida Huffman Hyter. He married Juanita Salazar, Dec.7, 1976, at Oquawka, Ill. He was the former owner of the Buffalo Tavern, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving: his wife; one son, Steven, California; two daughters, Mrs. Paula Jean Zadara and Susan Hyter, both of California; three stepdaughters, Rosine Salazar, Iowa City, Adela Salazar, Marietta, Ga., Paula Salazar, Burlington; one brother, Harry, Burlington; three grandchildren. Funeral 1 p.m. Monday, Lunning Chapel, the Rev. Alvin Jenkins; Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Kidney Foundation.
